An explanation of Asset Panda groups and what they do.
What are groups and what do they do?
Groups (also referred to as entities at Asset Panda) are subsets of data; a collection of assets that share lots of common fields. Groups can also be used to store a list of categories to organize assets within another group, a subcategory of assets.
How would I use it?
Let's say you're using Asset Panda to manage your IT assets. From laptops, to ink pens, your groups are where the records of these assets live, where you'll view these asset records (keeping track of where they are, who has them, when they were purchased), and so forth.
